- 2027 deadline not yet posted. The 2026 deadline was May 22, 2026.
- How to apply
- Submit the TILF application with a transcript listing SAT and/or ACT scores, a recommendation from a superintendent, principal, assistant principal, UIL coach or counselor, pages 1 and 2 of a parent's most recent IRS Form 1040, and your financial aid letter from your chosen college.

- Who can apply
- Graduating seniors who competed at the UIL Academic State Meet, Congressional Debate State Meet, One-Act Play State Meet or Theatrical Design State Meet, or advanced to the octofinal round. Must plan to attend an accredited Texas college full time and keep a 2.5 college GPA (some awards require higher).
- Good to know
- Selection looks at consistent achievement in school and UIL competition, and takes a holistic view of financial need. Only UIL academic contest participation qualifies.
