- At four-year institutions, up to $5,000 per year (up to $4,700 plus a $300 book allowance per the CHE LIFE FAQ); up to eight terms. STEM, education and accounting majors may add a LIFE Scholarship Enhancement of up to $2,500.

- Automatic; the college financial aid office determines eligibility and notifies students

- No separate application: you are considered when you apply for admission
- Who can apply
- South Carolina resident; U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident. For four-year institutions, meet 2 of 3: 3.0 SC Uniform Grading Policy GPA, 1100 SAT or 22 ACT, rank in top 30% of graduating class. For two-year institutions, 3.0 SC UGP GPA.
- Good to know
- Only usable at eligible South Carolina institutions. Mid-year graduates cannot use class rank.
