Non-resident competitive merit scholarships (automatic consideration)

Award

Fall 2026 early action non-resident chart (guide only), per year with 3.5 minimum GPA: Academic Presidential 35-36 ACT $17,000, 33-34 ACT $15,000; Academic Heritage 31-32 ACT $11,000; Academic Charter 29-30 ACT $7,000. Previous-year non-resident range $7,000-$17,000 per year.

Deadline

For fall 2027: admission application, fee, transcript and official test scores complete by December 1, 2026. Updated scores must arrive by January 11, 2027 for additional scholarship consideration.

Who can apply

Nonresident first-year students enrolling in summer or fall immediately after high school. Consideration uses high school GPA and ACT/SAT superscores. The fall 2026 chart requires 3.5 GPA; Auburn recalculates grades if the school does not report on a 4.0 weighted or 100-point scale.

Good to know

The merit chart and its 3.5 GPA threshold are for fall 2026 only and are a guide, not a guarantee; fall 2027 amounts and score/GPA thresholds are unpublished. Fall 2027 application and test-update dates are confirmed. Renewal under published terms requires a 3.0 Auburn GPA and 24 hours per year.
