How to apply

All admitted freshmen are considered for general merit automatically; no separate form or merit interview is necessary. Complete admission application and Rice writing supplement, transcript, counselor and two teacher recommendations, and the required Rice Box image. International applicants also submit English-proficiency evidence as applicable and the International Student Financial Statement. Music and architecture applicants have additional audition/portfolio requirements. Tests and general admission interviews are optional.
