- Variable Presidential merit amount set by the student's offer and fixed over up to four undergraduate years. Some scholars receive a food/housing allowance; on-campus housing is guaranteed for four years but the guarantee is not the same as a cash housing award. - Deadline
- For Fall 2027, apply to Rutgers–New Brunswick by December 1, 2026, request Honors College consideration and complete its essay. Early Action admission is November 1, 2026. Accept admission and scholarship by the stated candidate reply date.
- How to apply
- Apply to Rutgers–New Brunswick by December 1, choose Honors College consideration and complete the additional Honors College essay, which also serves as the merit essay. No separate scholarship application. Honors admission and award are based on the first-choice academic school.

- Competitive entering first-year Honors College applicants at Rutgers–New Brunswick. Award amounts vary with in-state, out-of-state, international and need status. Selection considers academics, the applicant pool and available funds; no numerical high-school GPA/test floor published and test-optional applicants receive consideration.
- Good to know
- Presidential renewal requires 3.5 cumulative GPA and 24 degree credits annually, with at least 12 degree credits each semester, plus Honors College good standing. First-year Honors residence is required; a housing allowance, when offered, has its own terms. Individual award dollars depend on residency, international and need status.
