Presidential Scholarship and National Scholarship

- Award
- Presidential Scholarship: $1,000 to $10,000 each year for four years. National Scholarship (non-residents): $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000 each year for four years.
- Deadline
- Full scholarship consideration requires a complete freshman application by the corresponding deadline: Early Action I November 1, Early Action II December 1, Regular January 1 (displayed without a year). Scholarship recipients are notified by March 31.
- How to apply
- No separate application. Admitted freshmen are considered based on a holistic review of the admission application.

- Who can apply
- Admitted freshmen who are US citizens or permanent residents or eligible under the Minnesota Prosperity Act. The National Scholarship is for residents of any state except Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba.
- Good to know
- Highly competitive; the university notes that demonstration of financial need is required for certain academic scholarships, but the Presidential and National Scholarships list no need criterion. ACT/SAT scores are not required for 2027 applicants. A limited number of scholarships exist for international students.
