- Dec 31, 2026Notification by . Standard Round: semi-finalists are notified by December 31, 2026, must complete a virtual interview by January 24, 2027, and are notified of award status by February 1, 2027.

- No separate scholarship application. Students are nominated to compete based on their admission materials, then complete a Presidential Scholar Interview.

- Who can apply
- New entering domestic and international first-year students who apply for admission by November 1, 2026. Typically awarded to students with unweighted GPAs of 3.8 or higher in a rigorous curriculum and/or top 15% class rank (a typical profile, not a minimum).
- Good to know
- Wooster is test-optional and does not consider SAT or ACT scores for merit scholarships. Wooster is need-aware for international applicants. Wooster merit is capped at full tuition and applies only to tuition. The College Scholar award (also automatic, same November 1 deadline) is a lower tier.
