- Award
- 25 awards covering full tuition, housing, and food for up to eight consecutive full-time semesters; eligibility for a one-time faculty-mentored enrichment grant up to $5,500.
- Deadline
- For Fall 2027, submit admission by December 1, 2026 for automatic Richmond Scholars consideration. Finalists are notified in their portal and invited to an interview; the exact 2027 interview schedule is supplied to finalists.
- How to apply
- Apply for admission through Common App or Coalition App, including the required Richmond essay (350–650 words), transcript, and school-official recommendation. No separate initial scholarship application. Submit supporting credentials by the admission-plan deadline. Selected finalists complete a faculty Zoom interview. International applicants must submit the Certification of Financial Responsibility for admission.

- Incoming first-year applicants, including international students and non-U.S. citizens. Fall 2027 applicants may apply without SAT/ACT scores. Selection considers academic achievement, engaged leadership, purpose, and contribution to a diverse community; no numeric entry GPA floor is published.
